Permanent
Makeup

  • Permanent makeup also known as cosmetic tattooing has made great strides in advanced innovative procedures that look natural and realistic.

Microblading is a manual method of cosmetic tattooing. This procedure is performed using a very fine, sterile, disposable hand tool to deposit pigment into the epidermis. This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of natural brow hair present. If you have extremely oily skin, microblading may not work well for you and we advise all clients to be realistic with the end result. Oil production in the skin can cause the hairstrokes to heal with a diffused, softer look, sometimes powdered result.

Ombre Powder is a machine method of cosmetic tattooing. This procedure is performed using disposable needle cartridges that allow the artist to created a shaded gradient effect. This technique is ideal for oily skin type clients who may not get the best retention from microblading.

  • The process begins with a consultation discussing the look desired, realistic expectations and if your skin is suitable for microblading or ombre powder.

Consent forms will be filled out and before photos will be taken.

Keep in mind eyebrows are sisters not twins! Remember that our face is not perfectly symmetrical but our goal is to get our brows as close to perfection as possible! Also, no shape is one size fits all, it is my goal to help you with your best shape.

After the shape has been mapped and drawn on we will begin the numbing process.

Topical anesthetic is applied to ensure your comfort and will be reapplied throughout the procedure. A fine needle or a hand tool will be used to implant the dermatologically tested and state of the art cosmetic pigments into the skin. We do not use traditional tattoo ink.

After your brow procedure is complete, after care cream may be applied. We will discuss your after care and will be given an after care instruction card. Your brow area may feel sensitive. Prior to leaving you will book your perfection follow up treatment to complete the final adjustments. This will ensure that your enhancement will be beautiful.

Perfection follow-up appointments cannot be booked sooner than 8 weeks from your initial treatment.

Please be prepared that eyebrow color intensity will be significantly darker and sharper within the first few days of the procedure, but fade significantly (approximately 30-50%) over the healing period. Results and longevity vary greatly from person to person.

  • If you are a frequent smoker, your pigment will fade sooner.

If you are iron deficient or anemic, your pigment will fade sooner and bleeding/bruising may occur during and after the procedure.

Unhealthy compromised skin due to health issues, medications and over use of (anti-aging, acne skincare, etc.) are all factors in the outcome. However, we recommend a touch-up annually to retain ideal shape and saturation of pigment. Healed result vary with each client.

No guarantee will be made and additional sessions (at a minimum charge) may be required to obtain optimal results. Additional charges will apply. Although we give our best efforts to provide you with quality service, many factors can result in a less than desired outcome as each client will heal differently.

If you have previous permanent makeup from another artist, we will discuss your options (if feasible) and you will be considered a NEW client. We have the right to refuse services.

    Eyebrow Enhancement

Come to your appointment with your eyebrows penciled the way you like them (optional) feel free to bring your eyebrow cosmetics with to your appointment. You may also bring pictures of eyebrows you like to reference shape and thickness.

If you get your eyebrows waxed or tinted, please have this done at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled procedure. It is recommended to wait at least 2 weeks to have them waxed after the procedure.

Regular makeup can be worn immediately after your procedure, just not on the brow area until healed. Absolutely NOTHING on the brows! No makeup, lotions, pencil etc. for 10 days. After the 10 days, you can use a gentle cleanser to clean them. Avoid scrubbing them for 1 month.

The eyebrows WILL appear bolder and darker immediately after the procedure, this is common in all permanent makeup applications. Your brows will begin to soften up after a few days. Hair strokes appear crisp and bold at first, but will soften up as the skin heals.

    Lip Enhancement

**Please note** If you get cold sores or have ever had one in the past, you will need an antiviral prescription (Valtrex) from your doctor before a lip procedure. Physicians usually instruct to take it 2-3 days before. As this procedure will bring out the virus if not medicated beforehand. Please continue to take Valtrex post treatment while healing for the next 10 days.

  • Eyebrows

It is important to remember healing is specific to an individual! After your procedure some residual swelling is normal. You may apply ice to the treated area if necessary. Dry skin, itching and tenderness are common after the procedure. These symptoms will dissipate each day and vary on an individual basis. Color will fade/soften up to 30% or more. The followup will enhance any area that has faded, or needs to be enhanced. It is important to keep in mind that you will need a "color boost" every 1-2 years to maintain the brows enhanced look.

    Microblading Healing

Microbladed eyebrows have a 10 day "DRY HEAL." Do NOT get them WET and NO SWEATING for 10 Days!

Only touch the treated areas with clean hands. Days 1-2 leave brows alone. On Days 3- 10 apply Vaseline only prior to showering with a clean Q-tip. Please use fresh vaseline as it is not contaminated. After showering gently BLOT off Vaseline with a bath tissue, do not rub or wipe off.

    Ombre Healing

Ombre brows may be blotted throughout the day post procedure. At the end of the day please use Dial antibacterial soap to gently cleanse the brows, pat dry and then apply a thin layer of Aquaphor. Continue this process two times a day for 10 days. Keep your brows moist but not suffocated. If brows feel dry feel free to apply more aquaphor.

DO NOT RUB, SCRATCH OR PICK AT THE TREATED AREA. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and loss of pigment. At the end of your initial appointment be sure to book your 8 week perfection appointment!

    • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring. After 10 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading.

    • Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 3 weeks.

    • Avoid sweating for a full 10 days. Any physical effort, gym, hot weather, any other activity that may cause sweating through or on the brows will cause the "hairstrokes" to blur under the skin, there is no fixing this! When we raise our body temperature our skin emulsifies and causes the blurring effect!

    • Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 10 days.

    • NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for two weeks.

    • NO facials, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

    • NO waxing or tinting for 2 weeks after your procedure.

    • Avoid Retin-A, Chemical Peels and Microderms around the brow area once healed.

    • Avoid any skincare product that has the words "acid" "retinol" "glycol." Acne products and Anti aging products could potentially cause your brows to fade. Check your foundations and primers that are longer products. Ingredients lurking in these products could alter your brows.

    Lips

Post treatment your lips will be very sensitive and swollen. Feel free to ice if needed. Please keeps lips hydrated with Aquaphor and to aid in healing use Herpicin L. Herpicin L contains amino acids which helps aid in repairing the skin. Please refrain from using any lip makeup post lip treatment. You might cause an infection or otherwise damage the tattoo. Food may be challenging for a while to eat with tattooed lips, but it can be done. Be cautious eating hot, salty or spicy foods. Avoid biting or licking your lips as much as possible, and make sure no food or drink stays on there.

Avoid Contact with Clothing, Makeup, Food and Sunlight. Take care not to expose your face to the sun for about two weeks after you get your tattoo. The sun will fade the pigment, which is still settling into your skin. Even after the tattoos have healed, be consistent with applying sunscreen to those areas of your face, to avoid fading. Lips can take 1-3 treatments for desired depth of color.

    Typical Healing Effects

    • Day 1 - Swelling, tender, heavy thick lipstick look with a reddish brick color affect.

    • Day 2 - Slight swelling, reddish and tender with a slight metallic flavor.

    • Day 3 - Less swelling, thicker texture, sore, hot feeling before exfoliation with an orange color affect.

    • Day 4 - Exfoliation begins, very chapped lips.

    • Day 5 - Very chapped but almost finished with first chapping stage.

    • Day 6 - A soft rich color begins to appear.

    • Days 7-13 - Lip color disappears and the “frosty” chapping stage begins as a whitish/grayish haze on the lips.

    • Day 14 - Color blooms from within more and more each day until day 21.

    • Day 21 - Healing complete; the color you see is the color you have. Your lips will remain a bit dry for a month or two, use a good lip balm and they will return to normal, but with full color!
