Eyebrows
It is important to remember healing is specific to an individual! After your procedure some residual swelling is normal. You may apply ice to the treated area if necessary. Dry skin, itching and tenderness are common after the procedure. These symptoms will dissipate each day and vary on an individual basis. Color will fade/soften up to 30% or more. The followup will enhance any area that has faded, or needs to be enhanced. It is important to keep in mind that you will need a "color boost" every 1-2 years to maintain the brows enhanced look.
Microblading Healing
Microbladed eyebrows have a 10 day "DRY HEAL." Do NOT get them WET and NO SWEATING for 10 Days!
Only touch the treated areas with clean hands. Days 1-2 leave brows alone. On Days 3- 10 apply Vaseline only prior to showering with a clean Q-tip. Please use fresh vaseline as it is not contaminated. After showering gently BLOT off Vaseline with a bath tissue, do not rub or wipe off.
Ombre Healing
Ombre brows may be blotted throughout the day post procedure. At the end of the day please use Dial antibacterial soap to gently cleanse the brows, pat dry and then apply a thin layer of Aquaphor. Continue this process two times a day for 10 days. Keep your brows moist but not suffocated. If brows feel dry feel free to apply more aquaphor.
DO NOT RUB, SCRATCH OR PICK AT THE TREATED AREA. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and loss of pigment. At the end of your initial appointment be sure to book your 8 week perfection appointment!
●Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring. After 10 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading.
●Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 3 weeks.
●Avoid sweating for a full 10 days. Any physical effort, gym, hot weather, any other activity that may cause sweating through or on the brows will cause the "hairstrokes" to blur under the skin, there is no fixing this! When we raise our body temperature our skin emulsifies and causes the blurring effect!
●Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 10 days.
●NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for two weeks.
●NO facials, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
●NO waxing or tinting for 2 weeks after your procedure.
●Avoid Retin-A, Chemical Peels and Microderms around the brow area once healed.
●Avoid any skincare product that has the words "acid" "retinol" "glycol." Acne products and Anti aging products could potentially cause your brows to fade. Check your foundations and primers that are longer products. Ingredients lurking in these products could alter your brows.
Lips
Post treatment your lips will be very sensitive and swollen. Feel free to ice if needed. Please keeps lips hydrated with Aquaphor and to aid in healing use Herpicin L. Herpicin L contains amino acids which helps aid in repairing the skin. Please refrain from using any lip makeup post lip treatment. You might cause an infection or otherwise damage the tattoo. Food may be challenging for a while to eat with tattooed lips, but it can be done. Be cautious eating hot, salty or spicy foods. Avoid biting or licking your lips as much as possible, and make sure no food or drink stays on there.
Avoid Contact with Clothing, Makeup, Food and Sunlight. Take care not to expose your face to the sun for about two weeks after you get your tattoo. The sun will fade the pigment, which is still settling into your skin. Even after the tattoos have healed, be consistent with applying sunscreen to those areas of your face, to avoid fading. Lips can take 1-3 treatments for desired depth of color.
Typical Healing Effects
Day 1 - Swelling, tender, heavy thick lipstick look with a reddish brick color affect.
Day 2 - Slight swelling, reddish and tender with a slight metallic flavor.
Day 3 - Less swelling, thicker texture, sore, hot feeling before exfoliation with an orange color affect.
Day 4 - Exfoliation begins, very chapped lips.
Day 5 - Very chapped but almost finished with first chapping stage.
Day 6 - A soft rich color begins to appear.
Days 7-13 - Lip color disappears and the “frosty” chapping stage begins as a whitish/grayish haze on the lips.
Day 14 - Color blooms from within more and more each day until day 21.
Day 21 - Healing complete; the color you see is the color you have. Your lips will remain a bit dry for a month or two, use a good lip balm and they will return to normal, but with full color!
Eyeliner Enhancement
You may ice your eyes for 10-30 minutes for the next 24 hours. Gently cleanse eyelashes each morning with baby shampoo or sensitive skin cleanser. Apply a thin layer of vaseline or aquaphor to the lash line after cleansing. Be careful not to over lubricate the area. Do not pick, itch or scratch, scrub or soak the area. No mascara or eye makeup for 2 weeks. This enhancement can take up to 3 treatments to achieve desired look.
Typical Healing Effects
Day 1 - Swollen like you’ve been crying, with a heavier eye makeup look.
Day 2 - Swollen, usually for only a few hours after waking up, with the heavier eye makeup look continuing.
Day 3 - Swelling decreases with a tight feeling. The pigments begin to lift away from the skin.
Day 4 - There is a “pinching” feeling. Some itching is normal as the skin begins to flake. DO NOT PICK AT IT.
Day 5 - Blinking movements of the eye usually removes all pigment by this day. Color is somewhat grayish and will take a few more days to clarify to full color.
